Geometric Calculator

I just started learning VB (Visual Basic) and I'm putting what little I know to the test by making an application and updating it as I learn. If you download this application post a comment with a suggestion or report a bug in the program and I will do what I can to change it.

Best Movie of 2010

I've put a poll up to determine the 'best,' or greatest, movie of 2010. This first poll will be up for a month and will determine the nominees for the best movie of 2010. After the month is up I will take the top three for a final vote on another poll for the greatest movie of 2010. However if the 'None of the Above' option gets more than I think is necessary, I will take other considerations for more nominees to be selected and reset the nominee poll. Get to Voting!

Singularity

Singularity was a fun game. I'm not real great at writing reviews for games so this is just what I think about the game; so don't blame me if you buy the game and don't like it. To me Singularity seemed a mix between Bioshock and Fear. Bioshock because you're using your hand as well as weapons to kill creatures. Fear because in the beginning radiated people (read synopsis here) start jumping up out of nowhere and won't die when you want them to. I think this game was completely under advertised which was why it didn't generate as many players as it should. There two things that bugged me a little when I was playing:

1. If you shot at a Russian soldier with a sniper, anywhere on their body, an arm, leg, or head will most likely fall off.
2. The slow-mo sphere you are able to throw out seems copied from Timeshift's multiplayer.

Other than those things the game was a little challenging on normal. This was mostly because if you didn't know what to do with the powers and tools you are given it was challenging. I was satisfied with the weaponry and the feel of the guns. The guns in this game weren't too realistic but they weren't too unrealistic either, giving it a nice feel (not to metion make you look for ammo everywhere you went). I also enjoyed the 3 alternate endings that they allow you to experience without having to restart the game all over again; it eases the player's curiosity of why things happened and what if this or that happened.

Overall I'd have to give this game: 8/10 (I decided this before I saw the Gamespot rating)

Gamespot Rating: 8/10

Are you missing your shows on Fox 5?

Do you have cablevision? If you do you probably lost Fox. You probably also think that the channel going to be back in a couple of days. Well in the mean time why not watch the episodes your missing the day after it airs instead of waiting a week for the official website uploads it. If you want to watch new episodes of your favorite shows you should be able to do it on your schedule, and you can. How you might ask? Well it's simple, first you'll have to download a piece of software called utorrent or BitTorrent (or any other software that allows you to download torrents). If you know or heard of torrents before you may think that downloading them is illegal. Well if you think that then this method isn't for you and your better off waiting a week for the official release of an episode to watch it "legally." If you just want to watch the shows your missing continue reading this tutorial. After you've installed software to download a torrent you need to find a website that allows you to search for torrents (torrent search engine). Lucky for you I tracked down pages that are updated with torrents of the latest episodes aired (you can find some shows I listed below). To download a torrent, after you have found one, is simple, all you have to do is download the torrent file from the place you found it then open it in your torrent downloading software. Because videos are often large in memory it may take some time to download these types of torrents. The download speed may also depend on the seeders and leechers of torrents.

Fox 5 Show Torrents:

House

Glee

Bones

Fringe

Family Guy

The Cleveland Show

Similar Posters

I laughed when I looked at the poster for The Tourist. I thought to myself, "Where have I seen this before?" And look at what I found, The Soloist poster. What is even weirder is that both of them end in -ist. This makes me think they did this on purpose and is hoping nobody notices. And the answer is no, if your wondering if it's from the same director.
